"Mas-Åke" Larsson var en av de riktigt stora spelarna i Mora IK under många år på 1940- och 1950-talet. Användes flitigt i Tre Kronor men ändå aldrig vid någon VM- eller OS-turnering. Debuterade i Tre Kronor 1950 mot Finland i Tammerfors i en match där Sverige vann med 4-2. I debuten spelade han i samma kedja som sina lagkamrater Folke Gustafsson och Erik Granath.
