David Young was a co-owner of the Mobile Mystics alongside Toby Jeffreys and Tiny Simmons, having acquired the franchise from the previous owner Eric Margenau. The franchise was dormant in 2002-2003. Young remained an owner in the franchise after the it was relocated to Gwinnett, Georgia.
