Lagledare i Västra Frölundas guldlag 1965. Kom till Frölunda 1959 från GAIS men har rötterna i värmländska Munkfors.
Var mycket målfarlig och vann bland annat Frölundas interna måskytteliga säsongen 1959/60 före Orsasonen Kjell Jönsson

Svarade för totalt tre A-landskamper. Debuten i Tre Kronor skedde 1960 mot Norge i Karlstad. Sverige förlorade lite överraskande med 3-2 och Hylland spelade i en kedja med blivande fotbollsproffset "Kurre" Andersson och "Totte" Moqvist
