NHL details, including in-motion pass receptions and passes, frequent scanning, and a preference for give-and-gos over handling, give his activation a distinct refinement over many of the draft’s other activating defencemen. Once Borgesi gets the puck, he demonstrates both shooting and passing skill. He always uses space before firing, sometimes beating defenders in the process. If he has to fire from the perimeter, he fakes the shot before turning into a shot-pass or a tippable puck.
