Cole Eiserman's move to BU was "all about being closer to home"

Cole Eiserman grew up in Newburyport, Massachusetts, in a family where hockey runs in their blood.

Originally, though, the projected top-three pick in this year's draft had committed to play his college hockey far away from home, at the University of Minnesota. Last week, all of that changed. The rumours of Eiserman's change of heart were realized, and he changed his commitment from Minnesota to Boston University, starting in the 2024-25 season.

“It was a hockey decision and it was all about being closer to home,” Eiserman admitted. “It was having those years with my family. Being home is very important to me. It was all of that.”

Another benefit of playing there is taking advantage of some NIL endorsements. He will be a hot commodity.
