Hershey Bears head coach Spencer Carbery had a pointed message for his team after a 4-2 win against the visiting Binghamton Devils this past Saturday afternoon.
Not so fast. Not good enough.
At 12-5-2-0 with a well-rounded roster, particularly for this COVID-19 season, Hershey has battled with the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms for divisional positioning all season, and the two clubs’ 26 points top their makeshift division. Rookie standout Connor McMichael’s late-game heroics had given the Bears their fifth win in the past six contests.
