Every year, there’s a changing of the guard in the CHL.
Top players leave for professional roles and younger top prospects move up to replace them. This season, however, there might not be enough young talent in the QMJHL to fill the void left by the massive exodus of the top forwards.
The powerhouses from the 2022-23 season have been dismantled, for the most part. The Québec Remparts and Gatineau Olympiques lost significant parts of their core. They can still count on a few solid players, but the next season should prove more challenging for them.
