New York Rangers bolster forward depth with trades for Andrew Copp, Tyler Motte

The New York Rangers have capped off their trade deadline with a pair of moves to bolster their forward depth. First, they acquired centre Andrew Copp and a 2023 sixth-round pick from the Winnipeg Jets for Morgan Barron, a conditional second-round pick that can turn into a first, another second-round pick that the Rangers can option to 2022 or 2023, and a 2023 fifth-round pick. Then they followed that up with the acquisition of Tyler Motte from the Vancouver Canucks for a 2023 fourth-round pick.
