It’s a new day, a new fantasy week, and a brand-spanking new year. The resolutions will come fast and furious and likely peter out quickly. But one thing is certain, if you’re looking to make waves in the fantasy world this year, mining the waiver wire effectively will play a major role.

Since you’re all either hungover or focused on holiday happenings and I’m in Sweden covering the World Junior Championships, we’ll keep this more brief than usual.

This week, we have four clubs suiting up for four games. The Jets have the softest schedule, but the Flames, Blackhawks, and Capitals also hold value. Additionally, the Rangers, Maple Leafs, and Stars have a combination of easier opponents or home stands that could result in some interesting pulls.
