Fantasy Hockey Feature: Predicting the Marco Rossi breakout

The level of production constituting a breakout is a matter of perspective and expectations. So while Marco Rossi’s 21 goals and 40 points might be a fine season for some fantasy hockey managers it doesn't hit the threshold for everyone.

However, if a crystal ball told us back in September of 2023 that the Minnesota Wild rookie would skate nearly 47% of his overall ice time alongside Kirill Kaprizov, would finish the season with all 82 games played, and would end up with 40 points, it would be fair to look at that production with a side-eye. For that reason, we should look into his path to get to this point, what happened in 2023-24, and where Rossi goes from here.
