Fantasy Hockey Features: Andrei Svechnikov's glass ceiling of deployment

Carolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov returned to the lineup over the weekend from the surgery he had last spring to repair a torn ACL in his knee. He managed five shots, five hits, and one assist in his first two appearances, skating a shade under 14 minutes a night on average. The team is easing him back into the lineup and with the strength of the roster, they can afford to do that. Now that he’s back, it’s worth picking through his career, how it compares to others in the past, and how that can inform his future fantasy value.
