Fantasy Hockey Focus: Will Lucas Raymond be a star fantasy producer?

Lucas Raymond was taken fourth overall in 2020 by the Detroit Red Wings. The EP Rinkside team had Raymond ranked third that year so it already seems like a value. Let’s not talk about how the team had Tim Stützle eighth.

It was impressive that Raymond was playing professionally in the SHL during his draft season. He played 33 games for Frölunda HC and scored 10 points. He only played 9:41 average time on ice at all strengths and 41 seconds of power play time on average so this production was quite good for the opportunity he got. He did not get the best linemates so it’s a wonder he even got those 10 points.
