COHEN: Chicago Steel’s Sam Colangelo is a Power Forward Finding his Way

The USHL held its annual Fall Classic tournament this September, with each of the league’s 16 teams meeting in Pittsburgh for a pair of games over a four-day span.

Sam Colangelo was there, representing the Chicago Steel, and while his game featured a lot of great attributes, one could tell he was still a developing player. There was a learning process, and it seemed that Colangelo had more to give than what he showed early in the season.

“I think I’ve become more of a 200-foot player since then,” Colangelo told EP Rinkside. “Working with our previous head coach Greg Moore (now the coach of the Toronto Marlies) and our then associate coach Brock Sheahan (now the head coach and cousin of Riley Sheahan).
