NCAA Tournament Takes Day 3: Denver edges out Cornell, BU defeats Minnesota en route to Frozen Four

A brief recap of today’s NCAA tournament games:  

No. 3 Denver 2, No. 12 Cornell 1 (Springfield regional)

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — At this point in the season, it's not like teams are going to be able to fool one another.

There's no sleight of hand in terms of tactics, nothing that hasn't shown up on video 100 times over. And so the games at this time of year are often tests of which team can adapt to the other's style, and find ways through it.

Especially when dealing with extremely good defensive teams, which both Denver and Cornell certainly are, it's about finding ways to make it work no matter what the other team is putting between you and the net.
