Prospects I was wrong about and why

The appeal of prospects evaluation isn’t watching a bunch of hockey games. It certainly isn’t driving hours through a snowstorm only to sit a cold rink for three hours.

For me, the appeal is learning: learning about a new set of players every year or learning new parts about the game, even seemingly useless stuff like ankle eversion's impact on stride push-off. But most importantly, learning about thinking. That’s why I look back on my past evaluations frequently; it’s a snapshot of what I thought about the sport, players, and evaluation at a particular time.
