Buy, Sell, or Sit: What should each team do at the 2024 NHL trade deadline

One of the fun things about the trade deadline is that it forces teams to seriously reflect on where they are as a franchise, what they're actually capable of in the short term, and whether maximizing the present at the expense of the future is worth it. You can delude yourself for three-quarters of a season, but once the trade calls start coming in, there's nowhere to hide from reality.

With the big day rapidly approaching, I took a look around the league and identified the teams that I think are poised to be the biggest players on deadline day (or alternatively would be best-served to sit it out). I've split these franchises into sellers, sitters, and buyers.
