It's so nice that hockey's back. You can sit down and watch two, three games a night, almost every night for the next, like, eight months.

One of those rare nights off? Sunday. How'd that happen? Is the league running scared from NFL Week 6?

I think I'm just never going to get the NHL's scheduling; tomorrow has a game at 1 PM and 4 PM, then five at 7 PM. Then a day off for everyone. Obviously, teams are always going to want to play in primetime, but what if we just pretended for a week or two that this was a serious league that makes more money from broadcast rights than gate revenues? It might be a fun experiment!
