Lane Hutson ready to bring control and chaos to the Montréal Canadiens lineup

DETROIT, Michigan – Near the end of his first official skate with the Montréal Canadiens on Monday, Lane Hutson was chosen to help decide the winner of a drill between the red and white team. 

Hutson scored, red won, and white had to take a quick lap before exiting the ice in preparation for Monday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.

For the 20-year-old defenceman, and second-round pick in 2022, it’s been part of a wild four days. 

Hutson finished his NCAA career last Thursday in a 2-1 loss to Denver in overtime. He finished his two-year stay with the Terriers with 97 points (30 goals, 67 assists) in 77 games, a Hobey Baker top-10 finalist for the award, which eventually went to freshman phenom Macklin Celebrini

Hutson then signed with Montréal this weekend, and joined the team in Detroit
