Take Town: New contracts, new competition?

You can tell it's September because everyone is settling their family business. We're down to just 11 restricted free agents who remain unsigned, and maybe seven who are actual NHL-quality players. The big name on the list these days is Jason Robertson, and the Dallas Stars are likely to stay in a pickle with this unless they can get him to sign for way under market value or, perhaps more likely, find a contract to move out.
It'll be interesting to see how things shake out in the coming days, especially in light of the two contracts announced just yesterday.
