Probably not hard to see this coming.

The Ottawa Senators are once again one of the worst teams in the league by just about any measure, in part because they just do not have enough players who were really ever going to make a difference. One must also acknowledge that they are in the top-heaviest division in the entire league, and much like Montréal (which not coincidentally dismissed its previous general manager around this time last week) nothing but insane luck was ever going to edge them ahead of Florida, Toronto, Tampa, or Boston at a bare minimum.
