Why Has Vegas Struggled to Finish in the Playoffs?

The Vegas Golden Knights are in a pretty good spot right now, all things considered. After getting dragged to seven games by the underdog Minnesota Wild and demolished in game one by the Colorado Avalanche, the Knights have stormed back, outplaying the President’s Trophy winners by a significant margin

But there’s a certain fragility around this success by virtue of how frequently the Knights seem to run into hot goalies. Anyone who has watched this team in the playoffs since their magical inaugural Stanley Cup run knows the story: You watch Vegas rack up shot after shot against an on-their-heels opponent hanging on for dear life and fail to get the stupid puck into the stupid net.
