Drafted 1976, 15 #185 overall by Peterborough Petes in the OHL Priority Selection
Known more for his baseball career which ended in the 1980s. Played for his hometown teams in Thorold prior to being selected in the OHL draft by the Peterborough Petes. Decided not join the Petes while waiting for his NCAA scholarship offers. Decided to accept the offer from St. Louis University hockey squad and was successful as a baseball walk-on. After St. Louis University's hockey program folder, he accepted a scholarship to International University in San Diego, CA, lettering in both hockey and baseball and graduating magna cum laude. Pitched for Team Canada during the 1980 World Baseball Championships. Pitched professionally until an arm injury ended his career in the San Diego Padres system.
