McDonald holds the Flames franchise record for goals in a season, scoring 66 in 1983. He eclipsed the 80-point mark in 6 seasons and was an 8x 30-goal scorer as well, retiring with 500 goals and 506 assists after winning his first Stanley Cup in 1989. Lanny also appeared in 4 All-Star games and won a Canada Cup, Bill Masterton, and King Clancy Trophy.
