Makes smart and skilled decisions, with and without the puck. On the other hand, he is an intelligent offensive presence with slick passing skills and a hard, accurate shot. Very smooth and fluid in his skating, and uses that to his advantage. Could be more physical, but that will come. All-in-all, an excellent two-way defenceman that is able to consistently out-work opponents and convey a positive message to his team, one that says "we're going to win tonight and you can rally around me".
