Jari Tolsa was a left winger who was known as a quality team player. He displayed decent offensive ability, too, but was more of a passer than a goal scorer. Strong along the boards and in the corners. Defensively, he was a responsible backchecker and sound positional player.

Cult/Star player for Frölunda HC J20

Dragkedjan
Tolsa was one part of the famous Dragkedjan. The young trio of Tolsa, Magnus Kahnberg, and center Joel Lundqvist quickly developed chemistry in '01-02 and played together until Tolsa and Lundqvist left Frölunda in 2006.
