A very fast skater with an energetic style, Koivisto can pass the puck as well as finish off plays himself. Valuble in penalty-shot situations. Owns terrific one-on-one moves.

Could improve his overall two-way game. Isn't a physical or aggressive player and tends to shy away from board battles. Doesn't really thrive in tight-checking games. (Elite Prospects, 2008)
