Player Biography and Trivia

Kanadensisk tufft spelande back. Fick efter en mycket bra säsong i Cleveland Barons (AHL) chansen att spela med Boston Bruins i NHL. I laget fanns storstjärnor som Milt Scmidt och backen Bill Quackenbush.

Det blev bara sjutton NHL-marcher för Ed Reigle och han fick återvända till spel med Cleveland Barons i NHL.

Flyttade till Sverige 1958 och erbjöd sina tjänster hos svenska ishockeyförbundet. ett förbund som glatt tackade ja till erbjudandet och gjorde Ed Reigle till Sveriges första riktiga förbundskapten.
Ed kom att bli en mycket uppskattad ledare fram till att han avgick efter OS 1960 i USA. Var ofta runt i landet och lärde ut ishockey på ett kanandensiskt vis. Var bland annat den som på allvar tog in forechecking och backchecking in i svenska ishockeyn.
