Todd Davison died of Synovial Sarcoma, a rare form of Cancer, in 2006
At the age of 12, Todd went to Denmark with the North American Selects All Star Team, and at 13 was named Most Valuable Player in his AAA hockey league; later drafted at 14 by the Regina Pats. At age 15, his team, AAA Sharks of the Manitoba Provincial Midget Hockey League played in the Western Canada Regional Championship, and he was named to the First Team All Stars and was named to the First Team All Stars at the Western Canada Regional Championship. Made the Regina Pats at age 16, playing with his brother Wade Davison, whom he also played with later in the AJHL. In 2003 he also served as Assistant Captain with Team Manitoba's hockey team, in the Canada Winter Games.
In his late years, between treatments and surgeries he coached local hockey teams, including Assistant Coach for the Winnipeg Thrashers (MMHL). Was enrolled to attend the University of Manitoba prior to his death, and his brother Wade Davison went there and played for their CIS hockey team the following year as well.
