Cult/Star player for Borlänge HF

Cult/Star player for Dalarna

Uppväxt i Borlänge men flyttade redan som 16 åring till Leksand drygt fyra mil norrut. Valde efter Leksands misslyckade kvalserien 2008/2009 att testa på elitseriespel för Timrå IK.

Har alltid haft en given plats i de yngre landslagen. Vid junior-VM 2005 så ställdes han back spel rejält på prov då han mötte stjärnor som bland andra Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin och Ryan Getzlaf. Något som Granath klarade med bravur.
