Ryan Dodd was born in Innisfail on Dec 26th, 1976. He has played every position for the Innisfail Eagles, including 1 game of goal with 36 minutes of shutout hockey against the Rocky Rams. The team's goaltenders got lost on their way to the arena and Innisfail put Dodd in net with some gear borrowed from Rocky. Innisfail was up 7-0 and their leading scorer came down on a breakaway and beat Dodd through the 7 hole. With the goaltenders now at the rink, the coach pulled Dodd and that was it for his goalie career. The entire stands were chanting, "We want Dodd!" as he was a treat to watch and well loved by the fans. This was also the only game against the Rocky Rams that Ryan Dodd was in the lineup for a full, complete 60 minutes. During his stint as the goaltender, Ryan went behind the net to stop a rim and came out with his mask on sideways and holding the blade of the stick. It was a yard sale moment in an illustrious Innisfail Eagles career.
