Cult/Star player for HK Jesenice
Zvone Suvak started playing professional hockey for HK Kranjska Gora from the Yugoslavian league in 1976 at the age of 18 years. Later he joined his hometown club HK Jesenice which he represented for the major parts of his career. Suvak became the top scorer of the Yugoslavian league three times and collected a total of 520 goals and 314 assists. Before his native country Slovenia gained independence in 1991, he represented the Yugoslavian national team in nine World Championships and the Olympics in 1984. He appeared in 155 international games and scored 202 points (129 goals, 73 assists). In 2007 he was introduced to the Slovenian Hockey Hall of Fame.
After retiring in 1993, Suvak became entrepreneur but returned to hockey in 2009 when he took over as General Manager of HK Jesenice.
