Walter Lee Robb was best known as a chemical engineer and as a General Electric executive. In hockey, he was the owner of the Albany River Rats, having acquired the AHL franchise from Al Lawrence through bankruptcy court on August 7, 1998. He sold the franchise to Michael Kahn on February 10, 2010.
Robb died on March 23, 2020, as a result of COVID-19, in Schenectady, New York.
