Wayne P. Messmer is a singer, a speaker and a business executive. He is best known as a national anthem singer and announcer for Chicago, IL, based sports franchises. Most notably he performed the national anthem at the Chicago Blackhawks games from 1980 to 1994 and has performed the national anthem at MLB Chicago Cubs games since 1985. In 1994 joined the Chicago Wolves as a business executive and has been listed as a part owner of the franchise since 2007-08.
