Former NFL linebacker Myles Jack and his mother LaSonjia Jack became the owners of the Allen Americans after acquiring the ECHL franchise from Jack Gulati on October 4, 2023. He became the majority owner (70%), while her mother became the minority owner (30%).

He is also a minority owner of two other ECHL franchises, having invested in the Jacksonville Icemen in 2020 and in the Savannah Ghost Pirates in 2022.
