Fantasy Hockey X Gamers: Mason McTavish is hitting early

In this edition of the X gamers, we will be looking at a player around the 100 NHL game mark. This installment will feature Mason McTavish who was selected 3rd overall in 2021 by the Anaheim Ducks.

McTavish’s development was interrupted by COVID-19. His draft-minus-one season with the Peterborough Petes of the OHL was cut short after he put up 42 points in 57 games. Strong production for sure, but he would not be able to make the case for himself in the OHL during his draft season. McTavish instead went to Switzerland for his draft season, after it was confirmed the OHL would not play, and suited up for 13 games for EHC Olten and recorded 11 points. Mason was born in Zurich, Switzerland when his father Dale McTavish played there professionally.
