What We Learned: Toronto's goaltending gamble going sideways already

I don't mean to pile on here, but there are just some truths about the Toronto Maple Leafs' goaltending situation that are now all too apparent.

The downside was obvious. The upside not so much.

The Leafs, in a make-or-break season for the general manager, the coach, and maybe even the core, pushed all-in on a goaltending tandem comprised of two cast-offs from teams that, just a year ago, finished lower than them in the standings.
