Povarov’s game is based on his recoveries and getting ready for second-chance opportunities. He’s able to utilize his quickness and agility to get around the blue paint to meet threats with his feet. Povarov has trademark athleticism, too, being able to descend into a full split when necessary. There’s also some level of anticipation in his game, courtesy of scans in the corner, which often allow him to beat pucks to new locations.
