Charles 'Chuck' Norris became the majority owner of the Fayetteville FireAntz , after acquiring the franchise from an ownership group led by Howard Bullard and Kevin MacNaught on April 6, 2017. Other investors included his wife Lanai Norris and Jeff Longo. They renamed the team the Fayetteville Marksmen.

The Norris family acquired another SPHL franchise, the Macon Mayhem, from Scott Gooch, John Regan and John Sapp on March 22, 2024.
