History:
Haukat II was founded in 1988 as a secondary team for Haukat. It was founded to provide more local players the opportunity to continue playing hockey after junior hockey. The team was succeeded by Hawks when Haukat II was promoted to play in III-divisioona. It was necessary to create a separate new team from Haukat as at the time the regulations prevented teams with the same name from operating on the same and/or on one tier from separate from another.
