Elite Prospects Notes and Trivia
Melbourne Jets Ice Hockey Club was formed from the Hakoah Ice Hockey Club in 1995. Hakoah Ice Hockey Club was founded in 1955, but its roots go back even further to the Raiders Ice Hockey Club formed in Melbourne in 1950. This club was a new home for the wave of European players who immigrated after the war, some of whom were highly skilled at both hockey and soccer.
